Q: Obtaining additional information of deceased

A: Hope cemetery, has with great effort and expense made this site available to the public free of charge. It has taken volunteers five years to research, locate and organize much of the information contained herein.  Records before the 1900’s were scarce, if existing at all. If available to us, you will be able to find on this site, anyone interred at Hope, a photo of the deceased, their tombstone, birth and death date and location. As a non-profit cemetery we do not maintain an office staff, nor monitor the site. There may or may not be additional information in our records of interest to researchers and genealogists.   <

Q: How do I add information or photo's to family or friends buried at Hope

A: Send your info. or photo's via e-mail to reno392001@yahoo.com,use jpg files for photo's. Or they can be sent through the mail. Photo's sent byb mail will be returned onced copied.

Q: May I plant a tree as a memorial to my father?<

A: The cemetery limits the amount, type and area trees my be planted. At the present time, there are a number of trees that need to be replaced due to age and decay. If you would like to have a tree planted in tribute to a family or person, please contact the superintendent for procedure

Q: Tomb stone is leaning, what can I do?

A: All memorials, tombstones and grave markers are, and remain the property of the lot owners, their family members and descendants. The responsibility, maintenance, repairs and appearance is solely the lot owners. Should repairs be needed, the lot owner or their representative may conduct the needed work themselves, or they can contract with a memorial company or the likes thereof to perform the repairs. In either case the Superintendent or Cemetery management must be contacted in advance before any work may be preformed on Hope cemetery./div>/div>

Q: Directions when you reach Kutztown<

A: Route 222, bypasses Kutztown to the north side. From either direction you can access the Kutztown exit and will enter via Main Street. Continue on Main Street to the intersection of Main & White oak Street. Turn North on North White oak; travel one block to St. Johns, U.C.C. a large redbrick Church on your right. Bare right and you will be on Church Lane which borders Hope cemetery on your right. There are five entrances is to the Cemetery. The small cemetery adjacent to the church belongs to the Church and is not affiliated with Hope cemetery
